Whether it is just a detail or in a complete hue from head to toe, gold has shown its sparks on Spring 2011 runways. This color stands out and seems pretty unpredictable among other colors we have mentioned before on Spring 2011 Color Forecasted To Be Exotic. Reed Krakoff, Rodarte and Alexander McQueen are some of the lines who add much gold into their Spring 2011 collections. While some others like Vera Wang and Diane Von Furstenberg test the trend by splashing gold into the details only.
Reed Krakoff uses metallic-foil like material to present gold in his Spring 2011 collection. The cutting was made to be simple in order to stay balanced with the bold color. Anyway, I’m not too crazy about the clothes in the left image, it looks a bit rumpled. The center image doesn’t look quite flattering either but thankfully the right picture shows a wearable piece for a night out.
Warrior look, maybe that’s the right description for these Rodarte collection. Strong and tough design is completed with golden hair, make up, and peep-toe bandage heels.
I guess there isn’t many other label nor designer that could beat Alexander McQueen’s drama. With dramatic as the keyword, now it is blended in gold palette. Each of these couture dress has its own interesting characteristics and details.

The first two (left and center photos) are examples of golden dresses you can wear to a party or other formal events. Or, if you look forward for a wedding dress inspiration, this stunning gold Vera Wang dress will surely be a fresher choice from the usual white frocks.
