The nail colours on the runway of RTW Spring 2011 seemed to be very varied. Which is good, it’s either we have more choices for future or we can go back to our stash and find something that can mimic the polishes on the Spring 2011 runway.
We’ve told you about Jason Wu‘s collaboration with CND here, and did you remember that I told you I’m very much interested with Veronica – a blood red nail polish – and look at the picture here, a model at Jason Wu’s RTW sporting a blood red tips. I suspect that it’s Veronica and a vampy colour like this is really not to be missed!
Apparently, Wu is not the only one sporting the red tips. Issa models are also seen in much more brighter red tips. This kind of red I think is one of those colours that you can wear easily with spring colourful hues such as lime, green and jeweled tones such as purple. It seemed that red is everywhere next spring, it’s either on the lips, tips, shoes or even your clothes. With so many red to choose from, there’s sure got to be the right red for everyone
Whereas Vena Cava seemed to go both a demure with the choice of pink creme as a base colour and black to create a french manicure effect on both the tip of the nails and the inside corner. At Vena Cava, Butter London is responsible for the nail colour and they use the press-on nails. Nonie Crème of Butter London said that the press-on nails is really good to play with because “Because they’re not actually on your hand, you can play with the polish a bit more.” To create the above effect Crème used two coats of Butter London Yummy Mummy and one coat of Black Jack on the moon portion of each nail.
If you’re unsure of the colours to be used on your nail, why don’t you try to take the cue from the models at Giles Deacon. Their tips are sporting different hues! Looks very fun and exciting, and of course doable They event draw fun faces on their tips. This is a very fun project to do for the weekend don’t you think?
But neon coloured toes are also fun as well and easier to be done to beautify our heels if you think colourful tips on the hands is too much.
