Next up is this more subtle (but no less dramatic) party look: it’s heavy on the smokey eye side, but we added a twist to the look at the very end.
We begin, once more, with a winning grin from our willing participant:
First up, we applied the Wild Shadow Pots in #50 Untamed Green all over her eyelids. For perfect application, use a Shader Brush like the one seen in our #FDBeauty Brush Guide.
The outer “V” was drawn on with the Excess Intensity Longwear Eyeliner in #04 and then blended in with the humble cotton bud.
Next, we tackled the outer and inner corners of the eye. For the outer corner, we applied the Wild Shadow Pencil in #15 (an amazing ashy moss shade) and then dabbed a touch of the same 2-in-1 gel shadow + liner product in #40 (a muted pearlescent gold).
Then it’s time to make the colors on those peepers pop with the Colour X-Pert Waterproof Eyeliner. I love wands like this one, because it comes with a felt-tip applicator for maximum control.
For the eyebrows, we used the Eyebrow Pencil in #1 Ebony. Like the previous look, use the handy-dandy brush on the cap to feather out harsh lines.
We brought out the big guns and took to the Excess Volume Mascara once more on our model’s already-enviable lashes.
Now that the eyes are all taken care of, we can move on to perfecting the complexion. For this, we used the Skin Luminizer Foundation in #60 Sand; and for a truly flawless finish, buff away with a buffer brush.
To make sure that the makeup stays on all day, dust the Creme Puff Pressed Powder in #81 Truly Fair. Don’t forget to liberally apply the Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in #09 Soft Murano for a soft glow on the cheeks.
And last but not least, lipstick. The face guide suggests something a little more nude (like #750 Cinnamon Spell), but we wanted to see how the eyes would work with an equally dramatic lipstick shade, like #720 Scarlet Ghost.
