Retro and Pop Art, the two significant elements from post-modern past could really evoke a sense of liveliness in one’s lifestyle. Retro fashion implies a specific characteristic in vintage, yet remains popular as it suggests an expressive way of dressing up and will make you stand apart from the crowd at any events. Hengki passionately combines retro cut into distinguishing colors and patterns of pop-art in his Deluxe SS 14 Collection.
I saw young, fun and playful images of women in RetroPop lookbook here, through bright colors which can make the world looks a lot less dull. “If you like bright colors and want to show this off to the rest of the world, there is no better way to do this than through the clothes you wear.” Color blocking technique are splattered on many items, and makes each item a very good investment for further mix n match.
And I also love to find out this retro-pop concept is wearable to every women of any style, whether you tend to have an androgyny, classy, simplicity, or ladylike style. I was also eyeing for some -many instead!- pieces that are hijabers friendly, maxi skirt and oh-so-fine colorful blazers (unfortunately I don’t have any images of them in this post). Hengki indeed mentioned that he made such cuttings to be easily mixed to hijabers’ need.
Unfortunately this ready-to-wear collection is not yet available to grab, since it will be released in Spring-Summer of next year, and also he’s still focusing on fulfilling overseas’ orders. I can’t wait to get my hands on one of those blazers or fun-graphic tops.
