Lipstick Monday: Burberry Lip Cover in Primrose Hill Pink
One of my favorite purchases of 2012 are from Burberry Beauty. I went a little overboard when I came across their counter at Tangs Orchard Singapore. I ended up buying several lipsticks and a few other things. Okay, a lot.
Anyway, I’m going to show you one of the lipsticks (hey, it’s called Lipstick Monday for a reason) that I love. It is called Burberry Lip Cover Soft Satin Lipstick in No.30 Primrose Hill Pink.
Shiny and sleek!
Don’t you just love the name? It sounds very British. Well, actually Primrose Hill is the name of a park in London. How fitting!
The packaging is nothing short of sophistication. The gunmetal casing is engraved with Burberry’s signature check print. The coolest thing is that it closes with a magnet. And it’s a fairly strong one too, making sure it won’t open in your bag. Burberry didn’t just stop there. The lipstick bullet is imprinted with the check print. I believe I had a slight heart attack when I saw this. How could I have the heart to use it? But I do wear it, a lot!
Look at that detail!
Sorry for the used, imperfect bullet photos. Well that simply shows how much love I’ve given to this lipstick.
Primrose Hill Pink is a warm bright pink with a touch of coral. It was one of the new shades as a part of last S/S 2012 collection. This particular shade has a super hydrating formula, very comfortable on my dry, sensitive lips. The texture is creamy, just the right amount of slip to adhere to the lips. It has a sheen satin finish. It is rose-scented rather heavily, something that I find delightful actually.
It can cover my already-pigmented lips nicely. The color stays put rather long and leaves a nice stain. It definitely is the type of color I can wear a lot and incorporate in many of my outfits. Other than classic, neutral colored outfits, this also goes really well with navy, chartreuse and cornflower blue.
The pink is bright yet very wearable!
My Burberry madness doesn’t end here, wait for more ladies.
