Not altogether, but these three have nailed a collaboration with makeup brands, which seem to be worth a second look.
First up is the Alber Elbaz collaboration with Lancôme which excites me very much. It’s Elbaz’s first makeup project and as one of world’s most interesting and talented designers, of course we’re very excited to see how this collaboration goes. From the packaging, that I expect to be something very fun yet chic with the signature Elbaz graphic to the colour cosmetics palette that is going to be very interesting. It’s due out in 15 June this year, worldwide. I’m counting on you Lancôme Indonesia, to make my dream come true!

Christina Ricci on the other hand is collaborating with Make Up For Ever. It will serve as a tie in with the brand’s Make Up Bag Remix Tour souvenir. The tour itself is intended to teach consumers how to use the cosmetics they already own, whatever the brand is. The team will teach you how to use them and make the best of it. Sounds like our very own FD Kelas Dandan, where we empower you to make the best of what you have and start building the essentials as needed. Though at the end of the day, it boils down to promoting their own brand, but Make Up For Ever’s campaign is really smart and useful for us here real women with a limited budget. You don’t end up buying more things that you don’t already own. And the makeup bag itself has a rebellious edge to it, created from black faux leather adorned with gunmetal studs. (more…)
