Can you guess how ISIS was introduced to the audience in the Autumn/Fall collection fashion show? The emerging brand with cult followers! Wow, do they? Well, it’s no wonder, since ISIS always captures me with admiration from the first time I caught a glimpse of their designs. They have such a strong personalization, and it has not diminished, season after season.
So as their newest collection, – I’m not sure this is the exact title-, Animal Jungle. And this too is interesting to tell. The inspiration came from how animals live in a jungle, and that is no different than us living in this kinda-same-but-more-cruel jungle named Jakarta. How we’re trying to survive and share (or fighting over?) something to live with.
Young, edgy and personal, are somewhat the description of style we often come up to, and those are the characteristics that ISIS brings. But when you see their collection, then you probably will notice how distinguished they are. There are so many notable factors why these are special. The neutral colors which are brave enough to collide with pretty mesh, army green, earthy brown, shades of gray and midnight blue. Still in androginy style, the design focuses on cut-out, asymmetric, texture and material combination, and customized printing. Some accentuating details in sight; contrasting collar, oversized bag, and just the perfect suede boots.
