The Claim: There is no extraordinary claim about these products apart that they are 100% biodegradable shower gels that contain no sulphates, parabens or colourants.
The Star Ingredients: There are 6 variants in Earth Lovers collection and each features a community fair trade organic aloe vera from Guatemala, which helps to nourish and soften our skin. According to the website, this trade has been able to generate vital income for the farmers of the El Progreso region and has helped to provide educational materials to over 100 schools.
The Packaging: It’s housed in a 250 ml clear bottle with a green flip top cap. Oh, and the packaging is made from 100% recycled plastic bottle so this product is very green indeed!
The Review: This is a great everyday shower gel with a scent I can’t get enough of. I usually find the fruity-smelling bath and body products of The Body Shop to be too sweet, but this Watermelon and Eucalyptus smell so so good. It has just the right amount of juiciness combined with some “greeness” from the eucalyptus to stop it from smelling too candy-like. Very fresh and invigorating, I look forward to taking a shower because of it. I’ve sniffed the other 5 variants, all of them using fruit and herb-themed scents, and they all smell really good!
The Verdict: Excellent value for money. Feels good using this product, not only because of the quality, but because of the eco-friendly attribute in it. I will definitely repurchase when I run out and I think I will run out quickly because my daughter also loves this stuff! I think my next one will be Cucumber & Mint.
