There’s Always a Fragrance for Every Mood

How do you normally choose your fragrance of the day? I usually choose it depending on my mood for the day. So it’s no surprise that me, and probably most women out there own more than one fragrances. So what is the perfect fragrance for your mood or occasion? Let’s see our top three picks.

1. For When You’re Feeling Feminine: Elie Saab Le Parfums (Rp 1,400,000 100ml)

Just the perfect fragrance when you’re donning your best feminine outfit or just wearing your everyday power suit. Elie Saab is known for his feminine touch to his couture collection, that despite the soft and monotone silhouette of his creation, when you see it up close, you will see the intricate details bring to live by the couturier. He was once quoted that “his sole ambition is to inject beauty into the lives of women.” So you’d expect no less than his creation on the runway from this bottle of perfume. Something that is feminine and as intoxicating as his couture creation.

Le Parfums opens like the bright sunlight in the morning that is fresh and welcomes you happily. The perfume is said to be an odd to light, so it can be blinding at first. Open up a strong and fresh orange blossoms that tickle your senses, and when you give it time to get used to it, the mix of flowers and wood come to life, as it resonates a calmer scent. It’s the result of a mixture of jasmines and patchouli heart, and finished off with cedar woody accord that completes it at the final note enveloped with rose honey.

2. For When You’re Feeling Seductive and Sexy: Narciso Rodriguez For Her In Color (Rp 1,458,500 100ml)

There’s always this sense of seduction from the musky note of Narciso Rodriguez. But For Her In Color, is not quite as deep and sultry as any other Narciso Rodriguez I have came across to date. This particular bottle is a limited edition of For Her that has been around for quite sometime.

If you love For Her, you would love this even more because it amplifies the notes of fresh peach and rose. The musk will come a little bit later after the fresh fruity floral note, that really awakens your senses and surely makes you noticeable even in a crowded room. Don’t get me wrong, even though it has quite a vibrant personality, this fragrance is not too overpowering, which is why it’s perfect for both day and night. The best part for me is when the sandalwood and patchouli open up and the scent feels a bit warmer.

The lovely square shaped fuchsia glass bottle is another thing that really captures my heart. It’s looks perfect on my vanity table.

3. For When You’re Feeling Youthful and Alive: John Galliano Parlez Moi d’Amour Eau de Parfum (Rp 1,114,000 80ml)

We’ve previously posted a full review on John Galliano Parlez Moi d’Amour Eau de Toilette, but why are we mentioning it again here? Because as though both are of the same range, and they both have a close scent to each other, but they’re not exactly the same. They still remain a fruity flower fragrance, but this particular one opens with a bang because of a stronger blueberry note than the EDT. It is amplified by the combination of sweet raspberry to make it even sweeter, combined with juicy mandarin. It really feels so youthful and thrilling, like the first time you’re in love.

The middle notes remains the same, with jasmine and rose. But I love it the most when it dries down to the base note where the creamy vanilla emerge, along with patchouli and vetiver.

So which of the above mentioned fragrance do you think will suit your mood today?
