Cannes Film Festival Worthy Looks

seo-img-article

I was so excited when I was invited to the high tea event by L’Oreal Paris to announce that they’ve become the 2011 Cannes Film Festival official makeup artist. When I read the word L’Or L’Or L’Or, I was guessing that it got to have something to do with gold. Because the word L’Or means Gold in French.

L’Oreal Paris works with three renown world makeup artists Karim Rahman, Billy B and Rie Omoto who came up with The Golden Creations makeup look using the latest collection from L’Oreal Paris as well as existing products. The three creations as shown below on Diane Kruger, Freida Pinto and Aimee Mullins are only some of the looks that we’re going to see. So I’m waiting with much anticipation how L’Oreal brand ambassadors will look in their own golden look at 2011 Cannes Film Festival.

L’Oreal Paris has came up with this general makeup chart for this makeup trend, which all used existing products (and I also got on the press kit! The perks working with Fashionese Daily). You can see below the makeup chart and the product used to create the look.

Adi Adrian one of Indonesia’s well known makeup artists, who has previously worked with Yves Saint Laurent and Shu Uemura, share with us couple of tips for creating the golden look without looking too old nor too much:

  • Use gold on the inside corner of the eyes.
  • Starts with eyeliner first then apply your dark eyeshadow and blend it to the eyeliner to soften the eyelinerso it won’t look too harsh.
  • Pack on the mascara, and I tell you the Volume Collagen Mascara from L’Oreal Paris can really create the va va voom effect like in the face chart.

Here are the products that they used to create the look, minus the eyeliner and mascara.
