There’s No Such Thing as Too Much According to Gucci
Spectacular doesn’t begin to convey the collection created by Frida Giannini for Gucci Spring/Summer 2011! When you can combine different colours together and still look polished, it’s genius! When leather riding jackets can be combined with fringes and managed to look ever so stylish, it’s beyond word, don’t you think?
The first part of the show was dominated by colour blocking, which I truly couldn’t wait to see. I love how the combination of colours unfolding one by one. It looks so alive and rich. The golden accented heels and belt made the look even more glamorous and they really gelled the whole look together.
The second part had a tinge of tribal vibe to it. My favourite look had to be this leather jacket with fringes combined with suede jodhpur pants and finished with a belt with tassels detail. On its own the pieces already make a statement, the idea of combininh them together might sound so catastrophic, but only by seeing it you can believe how this monochromatic look can work! My second choice was this tube dress with a thick belt that defines the waist but since it’s in the same colour it doesn’t break your body.
And lastly, what about a matching his and hers bag?
