seo-img-article

It’s the third day of the JFW 10/11 but worry not we’re still standing straight to give you the latest information from the runway set at the Pacific Place Mall. The first show of the day was Deskranasda Show which showed collection from designers such as Siti Haida, Arie Sistha, Wiwik Maskat, Amalia Agus and Inez Merdiana. These designers are under the assistance of the Dewan Kerajinan Nasional Daerah (Dekranasda) DKI Jakarta, therefore the title of the show. This shows that the provincial government support the growth of the fashion industry in our beloved city Jakarta and it gives assistance to the uprising designers in this city.

For two days we’ve seen many traditional textile done with a modern twist but on this fashion show the designers showed us a more traditional touch. Maybe after all the modernity on view for the last two days, we need to go back to something simpler. You have the simple white emitting femininity from Ari Sista. Inez Mardiana showed us different kebaya worn traditionally but with a take on shorter style kain which have beautiful print. Whereas Wiwi Waskat truly transformed the kebaya into an attire fit for a garden party with combining it with a voluminous skirt. Amalia Agus went back to the basic with Kebaya Seni Krancang even complete with the long stole. Lastly, Siti Haida took the formal dressing with a hint of traditional touch here and there.
