It’s hard being a true product junkie without an unlimited budget. I thought after the last holiday season, which nearly made me faint because there were too many beauty productsto covet, I can be spared from temptation. How I was wrong.
I was browsing around the other day and came across so many ridiculously cute products that are out this season. These products have some innocent and youthful feel and really bring out the little girl in me. They are limited edition, might sell out faster than you can say “custom purchase” and have constantly visited me in in my dreams.
Created in conjunction with the launch of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland movie. This palette has a pop up scene of Alice in the mushroom forest. Her “drink me” bottle discarded, she staggers past towering mushrooms, only to cross paths with a very peculiar, hookah-smoking caterpillar. A large mirror rests behind the scene – you feel as if you are transported into the film itself. Hidden inside a secret drawer are 16 best-selling Eyeshadows, given topsy-turvy names like White Rabbit, Jabberwocky and Oraculum. Alongside them lie travel sizes of Eyeshadow Primer Potion and two 24/7 Eye Pencils.
My legs turn jelly upon seeing this palette. To be fair, it’s not because of the products contained inside the palette, though some of the eyeshadow look gorgeous and who doesn’t need their Eyeshadow Primer Potion and 24/7 pencil? But it’s the fact that it’s Alice in Wonderland! One of my favorite childhood films ever!
I’ve never been attracted to the color choices of Paul & Joe products. From what I’ve seen in their counters, they look kind of ‘meh’ to me, although the packaging is undeniably cute. But the more I see the items from this collection, especially those gorgeous Face and Eye color, the louder they seem to be calling my name. I think this collection might turn me into a fan!
Yes, curiously enough, Paul & Joe Beaute will also be launching its Disney collaboration, Alice in Wonderland collection. This looks like a more innocent, classic and girlier version of Urban Decay’s, but still drool-worthy nonetheless. The Alice in Wonderland Limited Edition Set is available in two variations that are each housed in a refillable mirrored compact
Lush products are too cute for words. If you see their Valentine’s day-inspired goodies, you’ll too squeal in delight just like I did. There’s the Ex-Factor Bath Bomb, which can help you wash away the memories of your ex, the Loved Soap with jasmine, ylang-ylang and sage and the Magic Mushroom, which can bewitch anyone who bathes with it. These products make me wish I’m still in high school and still celebrated Valentine’s day. Too bad Lush has closed down their counters in Indonesia.
I love the juicy and fresh visual, it makes me crave for some yogurt :D. But I’m also curious about this product. According to Clinique, Vitamin C Lip Smoothie is Vitamin C Lip Smoothie Antioxidant Lip Colour is a non-sticky, highly moisturizing formula, that provides stay-true colour, buildable coverage and complete comfort, leaving lips soft and smooth. The convenient, portable flow-through brush applicator delivers just the right amount of colour to accessorize the perfect pout. Available in six lip-quenching, yet water-resistant, juicy shades ranging from opaque to shimmery, including: Raisin the Bar, MangO-thon, Pink Me Up, Berry Boost, Goodness Grapecious, and Peach Powder and they will be available in Indonesia on March 2010. Yes!
As expected, MAC comes up with so many Spring collections it made my head spins. But keeping true to the ‘childlike, youthful’ inspiration, I’m going to present to you the Too Fabulous collection which will be launched next month. Not only that the visual makes my mouth water, the six new, limited edition Mineralize Blush Duos are also starting to get me ready to declare bankruptcy. Oh MAC…when will you ever stop?
The collection also includes nine Cremesheen Glasses which will become permanent and five LE Lip Pencils. The bad news (or good news depending how you look at it), it won’t be launched in Indonesia.
