It’s exciting to see many of our favorite brands coming in to Indonesia and Kiehl’s‘ arrival is no exception. The skincare and hair care brand which has been established since 1851 formally opened its first store in Indonesia on 22nd of June 2009 at Sogo Plaza Senayan.
Kiehl’s teamed up with ISCO, Indonesian Street Children Organization, a non-profit organization with a vision to give an equal chance to every child for education, development, dignity and hope for the future. This “New York born and bred” brand also partners with 6 Indonesian celebrities who each designed a recyclable bag (IDR 95,000) with the “Save the Children Street” theme. Net proceeds from the sale of the bag will go to the charity for street children’s education fund.
These celebrities are Andien, Mike Lewis, Winky Wiryawan, Marcell Siahaan, Nia Dinata and Agni Pratistha. And the bags that they designed are now available at Kiehl’s store Sogo Plaza Senayan. Make sure you grab one on your way out of there.
The store was buzzing with Jakarta’s socialites, celebrities and fashion and beauty insiders that afternoon – all wanted to get their hands on some of those goodies. After the event was finished, I decided to come back some other time so I will have some peace and quiet while I browse the products neatly arranged in the shelves of that bright, welcoming store. I have, however, had the chance to try some products from their face and body categories. Review coming up!
