Just a few info,

I was told that there's a sale of Hermes hold at this address, I'm not sure where you are in Germany or whether or no the sale's still on, it was quite a while ago.

The Munich store was under revovation and closed temporarily. But that was a month ago, worth rechecking.

There's a better chance in Frankfurt. However, some Birkins are reserved for the locals. There was a time when 2 Birkins were shown to a local but he didn't buy them. Someone else, who happened to be a tourist saw it, walked to the counter and asked if she could buy them. The SA's politely declined, saying that they were reserved for the locals considering the limited availability. Since you're a local, I don't see a problem for you getting one if they have some in stock.

But maybe you should check Salzburg and Hamburg that to me are not too obvious of places.

According to my source, it is much easier to get one in Germany than let say France or London.

If you tell me which city you live in, I might be able to find more info for you.

I just purchased a new 35 Birkin from a Paris store, it was 5800 Euros. And I had to pay a LOT of money for accommodation, transport and visa, so in the end it added up to 8400 Euros

And I couldn't get the tax refund either.

The price should be similar in any store in Germany. However, unlike France which in my knowledge, has a flat 10% VAT refund policy, in Germany the more you buy the bigger percentage you get. But I believe you know more about this than I am. Was just trying to highlight that eventually it'll be cheaper to buy one in Germany than France

Epson is an embossed leather. Pattern yg ada di kulit tersebut itu dicetak/imprinted into the leather itself. Jd sbrnya grain yg kita lihat bukan its natural texture. Proses embossing tersebut secara ga langsung compressed the leather, jd leathernya lebih padat and as a result more rigid. Kelebihannya Epsom is easy to clean with a damp cloth because it is laminated and sangat sangat ringan. Dr semua leather yg I've ever encountered, this is the lightest.

Togo itu baby calf leather. Heavy and not as soft as Clemence. Salah satu ciri khas Togo adalah veining. I personally don't like veining coz to me it looks cheap, but that's just a personal taste

Some people really like veining. Ada Togo yg rame dengan veining, ada juga yg veinless. It's just a matter of luck really. Grainnya halus tp timbul. Kelebihan Togo, faintly scratch resistant dan kalau dikirim ke spa, hasilnya bisa almost as good as new!

If you ask me which one I prefer, as I have mentioned above, I don't like veining. So antara Epson or Togo, I'd go for Epsom. But then again, Togo has proven to be somewhat a more popular one over the years, especially in Asian countries. So it really is up to you

Moreover, a Birkin bag has this exclusivity feeling due to the high demands and low supplies law. Trust me, it's worth it.

However, may I please offer a word of advice? Do NOT buy one in Indonesia if that's where you are. It's Rp102 jt, that's bloody expensive. Even I can get you one for USD11,000 which is slightly cheaper. And it's supposed to be MUCH cheaper from a store than from me. So do NOT buy one there

I personally don't understand the prices here, it's so damn overpriced that the prices in Japan are much cheaper now. Last time I checked a Birkin 35 in Japan costs about 1.060.000 yen, and the supplies are so abundant you can get any combination you want and without worrying about authenticity. I heard the lowest price in Asia is in HK, is that right?

I'm currently having an internship here in a very small city, the closest Hermes store is in Nürnberg. I dont mind going to other city if I can get a Birkin for sure, but if I go to a very far city and get nothing that will be a total waste though

cloemongga, mahal karena pajaknya kan gede ya, kalau gak salah luxury leather goods sekarang at least 35% pajak barang mewanya (belum ppn, pph etc which means can be more than 50%); belum ditambah dengan profit margin sellernya kan. Kalau beli di luar negeri, dikirim ke mari, you'll defo get taxed for sure, it's kinda hard to avoid esp sekarang bc giat banget, bedak aja kena terus hehe. You just save on the seller margin. Ya kalau memang mau beli sih nurut gue memang worth it go directly to Europe.

Seharusnya memang cuman boleh beli 1 birkin per season, tapi kembali lagi tiap butik punya protokol masing2 dan biasanya kalau mix dengan different styles kayak herbag, evelyn, bolide, wallet2, etc nah itu mereka biasanya 'lebih mau' kasih birkin2 lagi. Tapi semuanya itu kembali lagi how good your relationship with your SA atau SM. Kalau hubungannya TOP, mereka juga kagak masalah. Yang pasti Hermes TIDAK seperti chanel yang SA dapat komisi loh, tapi mereka ada semacam kayak sales chart gitu dimana mereka berusaha untuk capai penjualan terbanyak....hehehehehe....

Again it's depen on the store policy, most boutiques don't even put any birkins on shelves, they keep her in back room and shows her when their regulars come in. With kellys, boutiques more likely put them on shelves than Birkins.

You bet there is a price different between leathers and size. So, the price in Birkin 35 in Togo/clemence will be different than epsom, chevre, swift leather, etc...

Livy1888, memang harga Birkin makin unreasonable gitu yah *geleng-geleng kepala*. Sebulan lalu sempet nanya di salah satu butik di Dharmawangsa Sq (yg tokonya di lt 2 plg ujung), harga B35 usd12750 utk bouganville colour. I almost fainted when I heard the price. LOL

Kalau kamu tidak picky, mendingan beli di paris, cuman namanya Hermes, suka kadang2 malahan tidak ada birkin sama sekali, cuman kalo bisa bolak balik butik sih kalau bisa dan kalau kamunya tidak terlalu picky alias tidak masalah dengan hardware, leather, color atau size, kemungkinan dapatnya lebih besar.
