Re: Australia: finding a place, scholarship sources, student living cost etc

hi, fleurie! Tapi msh blm kebayang kaya apa areanya.

Any idea biasanya postgrad student pd tinggal di mana? Off campus sih yang pasti, biar hubby gue bisa berkunjung n stay a couple of days dengan bebas.

Thx a lot!

Re: Australia: finding a place, scholarship sources, student living cost etc

Coba buka

aja bagian accommodation, itu website paling populer di sini buat org nyari tempat tinggal.

Own room itu ya satu kamar sendiri, gak share sama siapa2.

Sunny room biasanya agak kecil, soalnya sebenernya bukan buat disewain, tapi banyak org nyewain buat nyari duit.

HTH!

Err, klo di melbourne dulu ada mailing list pelajar/non pelajar indo yg cukup informatif utk ngasih tau akomodasi yg available ato barang2 yg bs diadopsi scra gratis

(indomelb)
and khusus utk ADS Awardee di Unimelb kita disiapkan mentor yang bantuin kita utk tahu hal-hal yang penting such as bantuin kita utk dapat akomodasi. And waktu itu keep in touch dengan mentornya mulai dr sblm berangkat lho.

Actually one of my best friend alumni Unsyd jg and she was kinda panic juga nyari akomodasi dulu.

Re: Australia: finding a place, scholarship sources, student living cost etc

fleurie Thanks a lot! It really helps. Any idea how much I should spend for the rent? Apakah teori 1/3 budget goes to rent berlaku? Di Sydney maharani yah tampaknya.. *tarik napas*

Re: Australia: finding a place, scholarship sources, student living cost etc

Gilingan padi..haha..Terpaksa bener2 neken pengeluaran yg lain nih, 50-60% of my budget b'arti go straight to the rent.. *tarik napas*

How about furnished/unfurnished? Gue bakalan setahun doank di sana fully buat postgrad. Kalo furnished, udah pasti rent per week'nya bakalan lebih tinggi. Kalo ga furnished, musti sewa van juga buat nyari furniture..Tuhan Maha Adil emang ga ada yg bener2 enak..Hahahaha... :P

Re: Australia: finding a place, scholarship sources, student living cost etc

KandangSapi, yep katanya Sydney skrg lebih mahal drpd London ato New York hehehe. makan mahal, nonton gila2an, parkir (kalo bawa mobil) apa lagi.

kalo cuma setaon sih mendingan furnished aja ya. kalo unfurnished kan loe mesti beli ranjang, kasur, dll. trus ntar kalo mo back for good susah lagi jualnya. kadang hoki2an juga sih nyari tempat tinggal, soalnya kadang ada bbrp yg oke dan harga lumayan, tapi kadang gak ada sama sekali. tapi mestinya daerah Uni sih banyak ya. Redfern juga not too far from USyd, tapi katanya sih daerahnya kurang aman, suka banyak org aborigin mabok gitu

fleurie Good point! Gue ga ngeh n ga memperhitungkan masalah musti ngosongin ruangan kalo sewa yg unfurnished. Thanks a lot!

valmont116 : Hello, dear..coba cek ke website
To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
. Di sana kamu bisa cek Uni mana aja yang nawarin jurusan yang kamu mau, then, kamu bisa do some research on 'em. Cek juga QS World University Ranking & website sejenisnya buat referensi.

Tips & trick ADS banyak nih, spesifiknya mau nanya apa? Mudah2an bisa bantu nanti ya...

Re: Australia: finding a place, scholarship sources, student living cost etc

kandangsapi, klo dr ADS sih ada settlement fee, dulu gw dapat sekitar AUD 5000 diterima hari pertama menginjakkan kaki di Melbourne, jadi paling susahnya ngirit biaya hidup sehari-hari, but klo lo single, beasiswanya seh kyknya lebih dari cukup, kecuali klo lo ngoleksi buku kuliah yang harganya mahal bener
