btw, yang dimaksud beauty bloggers disini adalah Indonesian beauty bloggers. dan sepertinya banyak juga respon dari pada FD-ers.

gw pikir topik Indonesian beauty bloggers ini menarik juga.

so girls, gemana menurut kalian? punya indonesian beauty blog favorit kah?
dan kenapa ya indonesian beauty blogs koq jumlahnya sedikit? padahal sub-forum MakeUp Addict itu ramenya minta ampun.

tapi menurut pendapat gw:
gw sendiri bikin beauty blog, karena gw hobby dandan dan hobi nulis. tapii.. silakan cek link di signature gw, entry gw tiap bulan paling banyak cuma 5, karena bikin entrynya itu bener2 makan waktu. writing, taking pictures, resizing pictures, watermarking.. itu semua butuh waktu dan ga semua orang, walopun hobi belanja lenongan, punya waktu atau interest untuk ngelakuin itu semua. balik2nya, itu masalah hobi.

yang kedua, menurut gw lagi, beauty blogs ini kan suatu komunitas yang mayoritas dari negri sebrang (??). dan sebelom kita punya indonesian beauty bloggers, komunitas ini udah punya pola duluan, dimana beauty blogs biasanya isinya FOTD, review, haul, makanya kita2 yang baru2 ini ikutan pun kiblatnya kesitu semua. sampe ke produk yang di-featured di blog pun ikut2an kebarat2an, semacam mac, stila, UD yang termasuk medium-high end brands sampai2 local brands pun terlupakan (at least, in my case) sehingga bikin beauty blog jadi terasa mahal (again, in my case). buktinya? cari review produk2 kosmetik lokal di internet susahnya minta ampun.

sayang sekali kalo kita selalu jadiin western beauty blogs untuk referensi, terutama tutorial.. padahal, dari bentuk mata aja kita udah beda, sehingga aplikasinya juga beda.. sementara kita disini punya suhu2 lenong yang ga kalah jago

tapi seneng ngeliat blog karena ada personal touchnya.

FD-er junebug juga punya blog yg predominantly makeup-related. kalau gak salah judulnya allthatmakeup tapi lupa pake platform apa/alamat lengkapnya.
onikchan juga ada blog yg banyak bahas makeup and skincare...

gue rasa cukup banyak lah, cuma belum ada yg dominan banget kecuali FD blog

allthatmakeup a.k.a chezcelle, you spoke my mind! Sebenernya gue ngetweet kayak gitu tadi malem karena kebetulan ada 1 project yg mengharuskan gue utk kerjasama dgn fashion dan beauty blogger dan gue cuma bisa nemuin sedikiiiit sekali beauty blog di Indonesia.

Tp ya bener kata elo sih, utk nulis ttg beauty itu gak gampang dan lumayan time consuming, apalagi kalo bikin reviewnya pake FOTD, swatch dll. So I understand why not many people have the time and patience to do it. Cuma kalo udah jadi rasanya rewarding banget!

Kl gue sih mikirnya, kenapa menurut gue bagus kl ada lebih banyak Indonesian beauty blog:

1. It's always good to write about things you're passionate about. Mau itu makeup, parfum, fashion, buku, film, etc. Dan biasanya orang2 yg passionate itu tulisannya menarik buat dibaca..

2. Sekarang makin banyak brand yang mulai melirik blogger untuk diajak kerjasama. Bentuknya gimana? Ya macem2, ada yang diminta untuk ngereview produknya, diajak ke product launch event (and treated like a VIP hehehe), di-endorse, diajak ke backstage acara2 seru dll. Kalo di Amerika, beauty blogger2 itu malahan udah sering diajak ke luar negeri, utk mengunjungi headquarter/factory beauty brand tertentu, seperti waktu itu Chanel ngundang bbrp beauty blogger ke Paris utk

! Seru banget kan?

Selama ini di Indonesia yg udah lumayan sering diajak kerjasama sama brand2 itu baru fashion blogger. Seperti yg udah gue bilang, beauty blog juga udah mulai diincer, tp masih sedikit banget 'pemain'nya. Dan FD sendiri karena udah punya hubungan baik dgn banyak brand, akan sering bikin kerjasama2 dng blogger2 ini yang pastinya akan menguntungkan kedua belah pihak

3. Seperti kata allthatmakeup, nyari review beauty product lokal susaaaah banget. FD has been trying to review more and more of them but there are only so much we can do. Why not do it too? Dan kalian sering kan pake local beauty products trus mikir, aduh coba ini begini, coba warnanya seperti ini, coba packagingnya dibikin kayak gini, dll dst. Blog about it! Because those brands do tune in to what we're saying. Gue seriiiing banget dihubungin brand gara2 gue ngereview produknya mereka, dari mulai brand parfum di US, sampe local brands. Baru2 ini aja FD di e-mail sama Vivelle rep yg mengucapkan terima kasih untuk reviewnya Lena yang jujur dan mendalam. Kl emang brand2 itu mendengarkan suara kita dan mudah2an mau meng-improve kualitas produknya dgn taking our recommendations into considerations, kita juga kan yang seneng? Gue sih pengen banget kita lebih punya banyak pilihan untuk local beauty products...

affi gue dulu mau bikin beauty blog sama vveen yah karena memang seperti yang lo bilang orang kalo mau nulis sesuatu harus yang mereka passionate. Mungkin untuk fashion lebih gampang nyemplungnya karena banyak majalah yang memberi informasi cukup. Tapi kalo beauty related di majalah ajah porsinya juga gak sebanyak fashion.

But anyway here i am now with FD and I dont have my own blog in the end LOL. Karena emang time consuming banget ngurusin blog itu. Its like a full time job! Belom beli produknya itu juga mahal2 banget.

juga banyak ngebahas mek ap tuh. tadinya mo fesyen blog eh keracunan mek ap dia.

Affi iya mudah2an para R&D produk2 lokal mendengarkan kata hati blogger dan forum2 yang ngebahas produk mereka, karena gimanapun juga mereka kita pasti pengen punya produk lokal yang berjaya. I'm happy that FD facilitated this.

But anyhow, I was talking more about personal beauty blogs as opposed to established network of blogs and forum like FD, which is a whole other ball game and takes a lot more commitment and resources to maintain and develop.

Sebenernya gue jg pengen ngajakin anak2 FD untuk ngeblog soal beauty supaya komunitasnya FD juga makin rame, nggak cuma di forum aja tp masing2 pada ngeblog juga which at the end, makes our network stronger right?

svendira, hehehe iyaa dan dari obrolan2 kita sama beberapa local brand, mereka bener2 ngedengerin loh suara kita di forum tercinta ini. Cuma mungkin nggak semua monitor closely, as in read the forum everyday, and even fewer have the authority to make real changes (especially to packaging or formula) but hey, at least it's a step towards the right direction riiight?

mbak affi & lena enak banget dikontak sama vivelle dan aku liat poto kirimannya.. hahaha.. banyak banget. eniwei, aku liat beauty bloggers di luar sering banget di kontak sama make up company untuk ripiu produk mereka. aku ga nyangka disini juga ada yang seperti itu. mungkin masih jarang juga ya, mengingat jumlah orang yang ngeripiu pun sedikit

kalo inan, as in shizzle-nizzle, dia juga indonesian tapi tinggalnya di hawaii. blognya juga lumayan uptodate, cuma akhir2 ini aja jarang di update.
