Teman,,daripada OOT terus ngomongin permasalahan kita sama BIS,,jadi aku bikin thread sendiri biar ga nyampur sama info tentang handheld blackberry,,, ayo kita berbagi disini ya,,,

gw skr pake BIS XL,,n tepatnya ga nyala sama sekali,,tanda gprs huruf kecil semua,,gw dah telpon CSnya tapi belom ada prosepek positif,,dia cuma bilang sekarang memang lagi ada gangguan,,padahal tmen gw yang disini pake BIS XL g kenapa2 tu,,,mungkin memang random kali ya yang kena,,,ada saran harus gimana?

PS:mods,,kalau dianggep tumpang tindih sama thread BB bisa diapus...

Nggak pakek XL sih, tapi denger2 XL kelebihan Beban pelanggan -kepenuhan- jadi ya sering trouble sana-sini. terus dulu sempet XL menambah jaringan apa gimana *nggak ngerti istilahnya apa* dan bermasalah dengan RIM *salah kode apa gimana* jadi nya ERRoR

What is BIS?
BIS stands for BlackBerry Internet Service. It gives your BlackBerry access to the Internet. It’s like an ISP, but for your smart-phone instead of your home computer. Every time your BlackBerry gets an email, or accesses a webpage, it does so through BIS (unless you’re using BES)

What is BES?
BES stands for BlackBerry Enterprise Server. It gives your BlackBerry access to a corporate intranet. The intranet is the private, internal, network within a company. It’s kind of like a mini-internet that is cut off from the rest of the world. Many intranets allow you to communicate with the Internet as well, but with added layers of security.

The Differences
Both BES and BIS allow your BlackBerry to get email, as well as retrieve webpages and use third-party applications (like WICKSoft Mobile Documents!). All traffic from your phone goes to the BES / BIS server, and then the BES / BIS server communicates with the world on your behalf.

The difference, ultimately, lies in where the server resides and the level of control and security you get.

In the case of BIS, your carrier operates the server. Everything from BIS to your handheld is encrypted, but that’s about the extent of the security features. The carrier can decide what applications run on your phone, and how applications communicate with the Internet.

For BES, your company operates the server, and usually has it sitting somewhere within the corporate network. The IT department controls all aspect of the BES server, and it’s likely sitting in a nice and secure location.

BIS itu jaringan blackberry langganan yang kita pakai di bb kita,misal klo xl ada blackberry harian dan blackberry bulanan,,kalau ga langganan maka aplikasi bawaan bb ga bisa dipake misalnya BBM n Push Email

kalau BES itu jaringan langganan oleh korporat,,jadi yang pakai ya pegawai korporat itu.

oiya,,setelah nelponin CSnya terus,,,akhirnya BIS Xl ku bisa dipakai lagi,,,jadi bisa terima email n BBM lagi deh,,,,

wah untung gw pake indosat.. ga pernah alhamdulillah masalah GPRS jadi gprs.. sekarang gw malah pake BIS lite.. hanya 55rb/bulan. untuk push email, bbm dan ym/msn.. bhubung gw jg males maen fb di bb jadi ya ga butuh2 amet.. klo mau browsing pake grps biasa via opera,, bisa sii diakal2in biar bb browser nya bisa, sama download OTA link,, cuman daku males install2nya.. oya twitternya juga bisa nyala,, tinggal pilih aja koneksi pake TCP indosat.. gprsnya 1rp/kb.. so far bikin hemat bgt krn emang yg gw plg butuh si push email ituu.. hehehe

sinyal si kadang bgus banget, kadang SOS, tapi lebih murah lah dibanding yang lain cuma 100/bulan
tapi sekarang g lagi berpikir untuk pake bislite, tap ga tau de ni sinyal indosat gimana, takutnya mlah ancur juga di depok...

Vycosmo,,axis emang prioritasnya di JKT,,klo di depok belom diprioritasin,,jadi klo tempat kita rendah ato ketutup gedung sinyalnya jelek,,cuma klo agak tinggi gitu sinyalnya beneran bagus ga si?so far baru tau klo lt.3 si lmyn di depok,,oo iya axis mau ngeluarin axis lite,,,20rb/bulan

gw pake BIS XL, koneksi kalo lagi waras sih bagus2 aja, tapi dalam seminggu pasti ada aja errornya, entah dia tiba2 berubah ke gprs atau bahkan ke GSM pula. pengen ganti ke provider laen yang katanya ngga sering putus nyambung tapi kok lebih mahal ya hehehe *kere mode on*

kalo disini sih mendingan beli bb yang punya wi-fi, jadi kalo BIS nya lagi error tetep bisa pake wi-fi.

tavina nggak perlu pakek pascabayar, yg prabayar jg bisa tapi setiap waktunya berbayar minimal pulsanya harus cukup untuk bayar

mmm.. laki gw kerjaannya ni berkaitan ma jaringan BIS XL.. 2 bulanan ini kerjaannya buanyaakk banget, tiap gw tanya ngapain, dia jawabnya: lagi restart jaringan BIS.. lagi matiin jaringan BIS bali biar jakarta kebagian.. lagi config ulang BIS jakarta.. dll dll..

kayanya emang lg sering masalah krn kelebihan beban, kata dia growth pelanggannya gede banget, sedangkan instalasi jaringan baru nya gak bisa secepet itu (jd gak imbang), ini yg lg mo di benerin..

bete dehh.. kan jd hrs copot" batre mulu gw..

sementara itu, krn sering dimarahin bos nya krn sering telat reply imel (padahal BB nya mati jg krn bos nya nyuruh matiin jaringan

), akhirnya dia malah pindah pake axis dulu.. kata dia jauh lebih bagus service nya (krn pelanggannya belom sampe seperseratus xl).. dan harganya separo xl
