semoga cukup yaa 5 hari liburannya. bakal nginep di apartment kakak gw sih, krn kakak gw emang tinggal di sini dari taun 2008 ikut suaminya. jadi liburan gw ga pake itinerary, yg bikin itinerary kakak gw hahaha.

Celepuk kl kata kakak gw yaa, yg mahal di vietnam itu tempat tinggal (apartment) & transportasi - ya soalnya bensinnya mahal bo', kira2 10rb/liter deh. jadi kl naek taksi jarak deket bisa 200rban gitu. apartment jg mahal bgt, kakak gw tinggal di apartment yg riverview/riverside, pemandangannya kapal2 kontainer berseliweran. kata kakak gw sih dengan harga yg sama bisa beli apartment mewah di jakarta

Re: Indo China region (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam): travelling and living

Averrhoa, kalo mau pake bb, bisa pake nomer three. Tapi karena blackberry bukan barang lazim disana, koneksinya kacau balau hehehe. Kemaren gw pake xl, bisa dipake smsan kok...pake vinaPhone. Tapi aku gak ngecek biaya per smsnya berapa. Mungkin around 2500 atau 3000 ya per sms.
Anyway, kemaren di saigon sempet nyewa motor. Beli bensin disana 10rb VND, so around 5000an rupiah lah.
Taksi juga gak mahal2 bgt kok...seharusnya biaya hidup disana tidak lebih mahal ya dari di indo, secara mata uangnya nilainya setengah dari rupiah.

Re: Indo China region (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam): travelling and living

2nd day in Saigon/HCMC. akhirnya gw beli sim card mobifone supaya BB bisatetep jalan. belinya di sebelah post office, ternyata kalo minggu tetep buka yaaa.

hari ini dimulai dengan sarapan di pho24, jalan kaki sambil shopping kanan kiri sepanjang perjalanan ke bitexco financial tower and naik ke lantai 49 untuk liat saigon in 369 degrees at saigon skydeck. lanjut ke post office & makan di creperie. makanannya enak2 bangeeet, even rotinya aja enak banget. I had this amazing steak salad yg somehow reminds me of the steak I had in paris. yaiyalaah kan jajahan prancis yah? hehehehe

sore2 keliling2 aja sekitaran tempat nginep di saigon pearl. mampir uma (ikeanya saigon) & central supermarket. hadooh itu uma bikin gw gila pengen beli semuanyaa. nyokap malah lebih menggila sampe tempat makan plastik & serbet kertas pun dibeli hadeeh. malemnya makan di mof. can't wait for another adventure strolling down saigon tomorrow

bahasa vietnam emang susah & mostly mereka ga begitu ngerti english. but they try to understand us kok, kadang pake bahasa tarzan kl mereka susah mau ngomongnya hahahaha. bawa notes & bolpen aja biar gampang komunikasinya, especially kl mau naek taksi

michime hotel yg bagus ada sheraton, intercon, park hyatt, and new world hotel yg diinepin sama bill clinton. kurleb USD 200-300/nite kl ga salah.

kl yg selain chain hotels sih ada banyak ya, kata kakak gw sih lumayan lah kamarnya. harganya ga sampe USD 100/nite. coba ceki2 agoda/booking/asiarooms aja. kl mau di tengah kota, cari yg di distict 1 ya

kemaren gw dari airport ke saigon pearl (bukan ditengah kota) yg kira2 berjarak 8 kilo kurleb 240rb dong/120rb rupiah deh naik taxi yg bentuknya innova. kl dari airport ke pusat kota pastinya lebih murah yaa. taxi yg innova itu lebih mahal daripada yg sedan.

Re: Indo China region (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam): travelling and living

Claire-eth, aku berempat ke saigon...atur itinerary sendiri. Gampang kok...tinggal liat di wiki travel udah bisa bikin itinerary untuk 3 hari. Pas ke cu chi tunnel baru pake delta adventure tour. Half day 6 dollar per orang exclude tiket 100ribu vietnam dong. Tapi anyway, aku liburannya ala backpacker ya...jadi bisa urus semua sendiri..
Bener kata averrhoa, memang gak banyak yg bisa bhs inggris dgn lancar. Tapi pasti survive kok dengan sedikit bahasa tarzan hehe

Michime, kamu ke vietnamnya kemana? Saigonkah? Hanoi? Vietnam luas lho hehehe...but anyway, kalo kemaren aku naik taksi vinasun langsung beli di counter airport 180.000 vnd ( 90rb rupiah) pake innova juga.

Re: Indo China region (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam): travelling and living

Averrhoa, how's cu chi tunnel? Seru ya...gw pas kesana lagi super panas dan lembab. Jadi muka udah acakadut gak jelas. Dan iya bangeeettt kopi vietnam itu the best banget. Jangan lupa coba kopi yg di pinggir2 jalan ya boo...jgn di cafe. Gw punya tempat favorit ngopi di depan pho 2000 benh thanh market, ada lapak di deket parkiran motor. Aduh mak...itu ice coffee nya nampol bener

Claire-eth, waaahh honeymoon yaaa...di saigon itu ambiancenya nggak romantis sih...tapi kalo suka adventure, pasti bakal seru...tiket sudah ada ya? Yg gw rasa romantis tuh waktu winter ke hanoi dan halong bay. Romantis bangeeet
