Boucheron-Jaïpur Homme Fraicheur

Kalau pernah pakai Jaïpur versi original karya Annick Menardo di tahun 1997, Fraicheur (fresh) beralih ke ranah Terpen dari Oriental-spice. Kata fresh, lagi-lagi tidak berarti lebih ringan untuk dipakai dalam porsi liberal. Di sini masalahnya. Fresh biasanya menampilkan komposisi Top Notes/Mid Notes/Base Notes dalam komposisi 4/1/1 (parfum reguler rumusannya 3/2/1) seperti Brutt-Faberge dan 212 Carolina Hererra-Splash. Top Notes punya porsi lebih banyak. Tujuannya untuk mendapatkan kesegaran yang bertahan lebih lama dari parfum versi reguler. Ini dikuasai unsur-unsur aromatik bermolekul ringan seperti bergamot, orange oil, nerolia, sampai lily of the valley. Sementara, Boucheron tampaknya pakai rumusan lain untuk Jaïpur Fresh-nya. Ini cenderung 2/3/1 dengan heart notes yang didominasi Pinus. Alhasil, pemakaian lebih dari 4 kali spray sama dengan bunuh diri di hutan tundra. Saking kuatnya unsur pinus dalam Jaïpur Homme Fresh, sampai 1 jam kedepan sebaiknya jangan cium aromanya langsung dari kulit. Bisa bikin pusing.

Aku tidak bilang ini adalah reformulasi yang gagal, karena bagaimanapun, kata Fresh untuk Jaïpur Homme Fresh tepat guna. Pinus membuat kita betul-betul berkaca pada cermin yang berbeda dengan Jaïpur Homme original. Kehangatan Amber berkurang, sementara Tonka Bean sama sekali tidak terdeteksi. The orange note doesn’t last long and it is quickly replaced by the crisp pine and fresh coriander and white pepper. Along with a touch of cinnamon, the amber in the base warms the progression. Ini adalah jenis kesegaran yang membangkitkan silage cukup kuat. Aroma powdery sedikit terasa di interval-interval awal, kemudian hilang sewaktu amber mulai mengambil tempat.

Meski ia lebih cocok dipakai di udara panas (suhu Jakarta sepertinya mematangkan aroma dan menguapkan setengah dari pinus yang membius), Jaïpur Homme Fresh (keluar tahun 2004) tidak tergolong parfum yang warm (subdued). Dalam warna ia adalah putih-abu-abu. Kuat, segar, dan sangat personal. Tiga kawan yang mencoba di kulit mereka menghasilkan tiga silage berbeda. Bayangkan accord yang Boucheron kreasikan? Sayangnya, Jaïpur Homme Fresh tidak cocok dengan hidungku. I'm more into animale scents than fougeres or pines. 5/10 to me.
