This Prada SS '15 Look is Everything

A few days ago, distinguished makeup artist Pat McGrath regrammed (yes, this is a word now) this photo of Swedish model Hedvig Palm, taken by photographer Kevin Tachman for Vogue.

The look was the look that was subsequently seen at Prada’s Spring/Summer ’15 show at Milan Fashion Week, and you have no idea how much I am digging this look right now. It has the signature Pat McGrath trademarks all over it: a dramatic cat eye and perfect unblemished skin, with very soft touches of blush and contouring.

The nice twist to this look is the half cat-eye, actually; I love that the eyeliner does not stretch all the way to the corner but terminates halfway across the eyelid, resulting in eyes that look wider and more awake. The thin line penciled in on top of the eyebrow is also great too — not sure how it would translate into your usual everyday look, but really refreshing to see on the catwalk. And since I’m still very much on a nude lip kick, I don’t think you need me to tell you how much I enjoy the contrasting dramatic eye against the neutral lipstick.

If you want to replicate the cat eye, it’ll probably best be done with liquid or gel eye liners. Novice liquid liner users will benefit from the ease in drawing a cat eye that comes with liquid liners that come in pen form; check out the ones that Griss picked up on a trip to South Korea earlier this year. If you want to sacrifice ease of use for more highly-pigmented formulas, you should try out one of the FDHQ favorites, as seen on this list.

But this is just one of many looks that stunned audiences at Milan Fashion Week. Do you have a favorite look from the Milan runway this year?
