#FDBeauty Brush Guide: How to Apply Foundation

seo-img-article

This video is an oldie but a goodie — a bit of a Throwback Thursday, if you want! We made this video many moons ago, and it talked about how to apply foundation with different types of brushes. Though all different, the brushes are equally effective in applying liquid foundation when used properly. The three brushes discussed in this video are:

1. Tapered Foundation Brush. To use this, apply the foundation in rapid tapping motions over the skin, following the natural growth of fine hairs on the face. Pick a foundation with synthetic bristles that won’t soak up the product.

2. Duo Fiber Stippling Brush. This is a funny-looking brush, composed of two types of bristles with different lengths that end up in a flat head. Pour some of the foundation onto your hand, dab the brush over it, and apply the product over skin in gentle circular motions.

3. Flat Top Kabuki. Another brush with a flat top, but this is a kabuki brush, which means that it has densely-packed bristles. Like the stippling brush, apply the product gently on skin with soft circular motions all over the face.
