#FDBeauty Video Tutorial: The Perfect Winged Liner

seo-img-article

To me, the woman most responsible for inspiring me to wear winged eye liner is none other than the first lady of music diva-dom, Maria Callas.

Perfection.

Perfection.

The winged liner look is such a classic: Maria Callas wore it day in, day out. Elizabeth Taylor rocked dreamy variations of it in Cleopatra. It also became part and parcel of the late great Amy Winehouse’s persona.

Being a big fan of eyeliners and this particular style of wing tip myself, I depend on my beloved liquid eyeliners for my everyday look. I’m not squeamish about piling it on heavy on my top lids to make it stand out behind my glasses. But since seeing the ease behind the way Maharani Nilla applied her winged liner with a gel eyeliner, I’m thinking about picking up a pot and brush with the hopes of becoming a cat-eyed diva too.

Don’t worry about messing it up the first few times you try it on — sleep easy knowing that we all started out with botched, uneven wing tips too! Keep on practicing it, and you’re bound to get it right sooner than later 😉
