This new iteration of the Time Teller is made of a stainless steel case (waterproof up to 100 meters) and polyurethane band -- specifications that are no different from its previous incarnations, except for the custom print and screen print of the Kate Spade Saturday logo behnd the straps. Its founder, Francois Lesage, was <a href="http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-francois-lesage-20111203,0,950903.story#axzz2qHFwnT00" target="_blank">considered the king of French embroidery</a> for keeping the craft alive when it started to dwindle in the late 20th century. He is the go-to man for all things beads, sequins, and lace, with his work having been seen on outfits from houses like Dior, Givenchy, and Balenciaga.<br><br>Seeing as they had a fashion legend goldmine in their hands, Chanel capitalized on their style advantage to have Maison Lesage create its first ever watch dial. The press release reads as follows:<br><blockquote>"This exceptional collaboration has resulted in a highly colourful piece that is the fruit of a work in miniature that crystallises all Lesage’s traditional know-how. The camellia is reproduced with coloured silk threads using the needlepoint-painting technique.<br>On a deep-black silk background, the lines of embroidery threads form a camellia in a gradation of colours.
