Product Review: It Started With A Kiss Lip Tint

Since living in Melbourne, I’ve see a lot of Lush stores across the street. I bumped into one of their stores on Swanston Street one day and was introduced to their lip tint product. I quickly fell in love with this product! The product smells really nice and the colour is very pigmented but still natural. As a plus, it can also be used as a cheek tint. I hope they bring Lush back to Indonesia sometime soon!

Claim: Tint your lips with fresh apple infusion, warming cinnamon and a hint of white chocolate. Inspired by a certain apple-biting princess, It Started With A Kiss paints your pout an irresistible shade of ruby red, sure to lure your prince (or princess) charming from the path they had mistakenly wandered off on.

The texture of this product is very creamy. The shade is very pigmented but it doesn’t look very heavy. The red color is very natural, suitable for everyday look. The texture is very soft, creamy, and easy to blend and apply on the lips. One of the best things about lip tint is how they can work double duty as a cheek tint as well. This one is also more pigmented on the cheek compared to other lip/cheek tints because the texture is creamy, just like a creamy blush. The colour is also very matte, so if you prefer glossier look, you can always apply lip gloss afterwards.

The scent is a cinnamon and apple smell, which I really like! The overall texture is light enough to make you feel like you’re wearing nothing at all on your lips. And while it doesn’t last all day, you can always re-apply anytime you want because the packaging is compact  and fuss-free.  It contains shea butter and extra virgin coconut oil, which has moisturizing properties, leaving your lips soft and smooth after application!

The packaging and texture of the product

I usually apply lip scrub first to clean my lips and exfoliate dead skin; then I would apply lip liner, and finally top it off with this lip tint. Voila! Your lips will look fresh and radiant at the same time! I highly recommend this product to lip tint fans. If you happen to travel to the countries that have Lush stores, don’t forget to grab one! Let’s hope they open up in Indonesia again someday :)
