Good to the Last Drop: Cleansing Creams, BB Cream, and More!
I finally have the right amount of empties to share this post with all of you. I think I share a pretty good and varied amount of products for anyone looking for skincare or makeup tips, so I hope you find this post is helpful since I love most of the products that I show.
Let’s start the show without any further ado!
Menard Lisciare Cleansing Cream – Hands down the best cleansing cream that I’ve tried so far. It removes full coverage foundation, bronzer, and blush wonderfully. It doesn’t harm and is very safe for my sensitive, acne prone skin. My cleansing routine feels more delightful with it. I wrote a post on how to use Lisciare products in skincare routine here, so you can read that post to know more details.
Menard Lisciare Washing Cream – Another awesome product from the Lisciare series. This washing cream definitely stands in my top five skincare products, especially since it cleanses without leaving that dry or tight feeling on my face. Skin feels supple after using this washing cream. The trick is to make a foaming ball and not to massage the cream all over the face. The foaming ball will do the job, so there is no need to massage or press the cream into the skin. Again, read this post to know for more information
Menard Lisciare Massage Cream – Honestly, I’m new to this step. I’ve never massaged my face before but since I picked this up, I realized my skin is getting better. By massaging the face, it helps to activate the skin’s metabolism and accelerate blood circulation. I feel like any kind of moisturizers that I apply sink properly into the skin after massaging my face.
L’Occitane Rose Aurore Radiant Body Milk- This body scent has a very nice scent that I love so much. The rose smells so fresh and it has the right thickness of texture, not too liquidy yet not too thick. It absorbs into the skin pretty quick so I tend to grab this one on the go.
Hada Labo Mild Peeling AHA + BHA Makeup Remover + Face Wash – This was the product I used it before I started use Lisciare products. I only uses it once a day at night to remove makeup. But since the Lisciare creams emptied, I decided to use this one until its last breath. It’s an okay product but not that amazing for my skin: it doesn’t remove makeup as well as I thought it would, but I love the mild peeling effect that it gives, especially as it doesn’t feel harsh on me.
Urban Decay Primer Potion – This is the mini size that I got from Urban Decay Naked palette. The palette comes with a brush and this little bottle of primer potion. I always bring this little guy when I travel. It lasts for a very long time, since a little goes a long way. This is a product that is considered worth the hype: it makes eyeshadow stay put, reduces the possibility of creasing, and it makes the eyeshadow color looks more vibrant.
Kate BB Gel Cream – I was very very sad when I squeezed this tube and found nothing come out of it. Kate BB Gel Cream is by far my favorite BB Cream. It has a yellow undertone (thank God) that matches my skin, doesn’t feel sticky, and gives the light to medium coverage that I need on daily basis. On top of all of that, it’s easy to blend with either fingers or brush. The size of the tube is also perfect for travel, not too big but just right to save me for weeks without taking too much space in my makeup bag. Definitely will repurchase this BB Cream.
NIVEA Essential Care – Another empty from NIVEA. Since I have very dry lips, this is a must-have and a must-bring lip care for me. Whenever I forgot to bring this baby with me, it drives me crazy because the feeling of dry and chapped lips is really not pleasant at all. So I put one in my bag, put one on my desk, and also save one at home. It has a very buttery texture, so if you have normal lips there is a possibility that you won’t like it since it’s too creamy, but folks with dry lips like me will probably love this product to bits
Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara – Putzky somehow convinced me to try this mascara since she said it’s perfect for giving lashes that oomph without going overboard. It turned out to be true! This mascara can hold curls quite well while not going overly crazy in the volumizing department. Maybelline offers affordable price ranges for its mascaras, so I didn’t see why not try another mascara from Maybelline. Sure I need more magic for special occasions, but this is good for everyday use
Wet n Wild Color Icon Collection Eyeshadow Single in Brulee – I asked my aunt to buy me this shadow last year and I have no regrets since. Brulee is a perfect blending color for cleaning up the mess after I blend a few colors on my eyelids. It makes the edges looks smooth and gives a nice color transition. And at US $2.99, this is quite a steal as well. The only downside is it’s easy to break: I didn’t even drop it before it fell into pieces after many uses. Still, I love the color, and will repurchase it again when I got the chance.
