So in addition to Jakarta Fashion Week being a visual treat, it also gave us insight into the trends we may end up seeing pretty frequently. I’ve rounded a fashion trends that I noticed kept popping up at different shows, what do you think of them. Are in favor of or against these trends?

Kaal E. Suktae, Parang Kencana, Major Minor
Tex Saverio Jakarta, Alleira, BINUS International

Drop Waist Dresses
Somarta, ISIS, Edward Hutabarat

This was probably the most pervasive trend at JFW, especially among new designers. The widespread availability of digital printing services have unleashed unlimited possibilities, leaving confined only by the designers’ imagination. For example, Billy Tjong took advantage of digital prints when he worked in tha art of Dutch painter, Rudolf Bonnet, into select numbers.
