Beauty Products That Don't Really Work for Me

seo-img-article

Products come and go, and in my case, it happens almost every week. As a professional reviewer (I can call myself that, right?), I immediately leave behind futile products that don’t work after the first 10 days and never look back. I’m always curious to try new products, especially when people are raving about it.

But what I’ve learned is that what works for one person may not work on another; not because the product is bad, but maybe the product just isn’t ideal for a specific skin type. Here are my skin concerns: dry to very dry, sometimes sensitive, dark spots, and recurring dullness. Concerns for my eye areas include eyebags, fine lines, and  dark circles when I don’t get enough sleep.

So if you have the same concerns as I do, check the list of products that don’t really work for me, because I’m willing to bet that they won’t work for you too.

Caudalie La Creme

At the mention of La Creme, I initially though that it would be as luxurious as Cle de Peau La Creme or Creme de La Mer. It’s not cheap and is said to be the top-of-the-line product from the French brand Caudalie. My impression was completely wrong. Its texture is kind of in the fence: neither rich nor gel-like, suiting oily skin. People with normal skin would love this, but with no added benefits to offer, why bother? It doesn’t give enough hydration on my dry skin, nor did it show signs of improvement. So I say skip it, because you’re better off splurging. (more…)
