Do you want upper arms of steel, rock-hard abs, and a sculptured back to match? Then look no further than this demonstration of the plank by our PT-in-chief, Tiara Soemakno. If you’re no good at doing push-ups (that would be me), then this is the perfect isometric exercise targeted to train endurance in the same muscles used for doing push-ups. Despite its simple-looking execution, it actually reaps plenty of benefits if done properly. The plank is widely used in yoga and pilates, and it requires no equipment to execute.
