Wednesday Wish List: JUARA Offers Skincare With a Touch of Indonesian Heritage

seo-img-article

Because it’s developed and produced outside Indonesia, JUARA is technically not an Indonesian brand–but one of the founders is Indonesian, so that counts for something! As the daughter of tycoon couple Murdaya Pho and Siti Hartati Murdaya, being an entrepreneur is hard-wired in the DNA of Metta Murdaya. Together with her fellow colleagues from neighboring Asian countries–Yoshiko Roth, Jill Sung, and Tami Chuang–they marry their Asian ancestry and Western upbringing to create a very modern take on traditional botanical mixes that is truly Asian through JUARA. Think about spices and herbs that you could find so easily in markets here like tamarind, turmeric, candlenut oil, and red sandalwood–but don’t think of the ingredients getting brewed in a shabby and dusty kitchen: these ingredients were distilled in a sterile laboratory that accommodates technology and innovation.

The packaging and name alone are enough to evoke the values of both worlds perfectly: simple and sleek with an ethnic touch that proudly display its roots.

Now what’s on my Wednesday Wish List this week? It’s the Discovery Kit Glow on the Go-Travel Set; it’s good for three weeks, which also happens the perfect window for trying new skincare products. It’s made up of their top five best-selling products: Rice Facial Cleanser, Tamarind Tea Hydrating Toner, Sweet Black Tea & Rice Facial Moisturiser, Turmeric Antioxidant Facial Mask, and Candlenut Hand & Body Balm. It promises softer, brighter, stronger and detoxified skin. The rice-based cleanser alone  known for its ability to make skin brighter has me totally sold! And the smell of tea on your moisturiser? Oh, I love it so much!

I’ve been meaning to try this brand since forever because Female Daily members have been talking about it since 2007. And why now? Because I just found out that now Zalora Indonesia stocks their products! Big yay!

The set is sold for IDR 460,000 on Zalora and there are no shipping fees for international shipments from the U.S.
