Battle of the Week: The Cream Eyeshadows Show Down!

seo-img-article

It’s time for another installment of Battle of the Week! This week, we not only have two, but three contenders! What is it? We’re going to see three of my favourite cream eyeshadows: M.A.C Paint Pot, Shiseido Hydro Powder Eyeshadow and Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill. Though the latter isn’t exactly a cream eyeshadow, but the application is quite the same, thus I put it with the whole lot.

Now, why cream eyeshadow if you ask me? Nowadays, when it comes to makeup, for me simplicity is key. I no longer spend minutes to create a colour combination for my eye makeup. I just rely on one colour and stroke a strong eyeliner on the lashline. That being said, cream eyeshadow is the best product to create a one colour eye makeup look. I can easily apply cream eyeshadow on my eyelids with much intensity below the crease line and goes lighter as I blend upward. It’s so easy, that I got hooked in collecting cream eyeshadows.

The problem with cream eyeshadows is that you need to handle it with care. When you open the lid, you need to immediately close it. My trick is to turn the tub upside down in between applying one side to the other, so that no air gets into the product and it doesn’t dry out immediately. Still, it will get dry quite fast. (more…)
