Splurging On L'Occitane Rose Aurore Radiant Body Milk

seo-img-article

Applying a body lotion is a very relaxing and important thing to do every day.  Our skin needs moisture and hydration to stay healthy, and it’s our job to apply body lotion regularly. Although I’m not overly picky about body lotions, I have two criterias before picking one out:  a lovely scent and a light texture.  If a body lotion scores those two points, I will love it.  As long as texture isn’t greasy, and the scent fresh or sweet without being too strong, welcome to my desk!

A body lotion (or body milk) that I’ve been using since last month is L’Occitane Rose Aurore Radiant Body Milk. L’Occitane usually releases a new collection with a variation of products that results in a complete set of (at the very minimum) hand creams, body lotions, soaps, and perfumes; we’ll often find even more products for some special collections.  L’Occitane has also been known for their lovely scents: what I’ve also found is how their scents are subtle and long-lasting. The staying power and the formulation are also great, so I hoped for good result from this product.

As the name suggests, the rose scent is clearly the dominant tone in the fragrance: it smells and feels so fresh and calming at the same time.  The fresh scent actually lingered on skin for long hours.  I usually use L’Occitane Rose Aurore right after I take a bath, because adding it to clean skin is much better.  I have normal skin, so the light texture moisturizes it nicely.  I can’t tell whether this product will be enough for those of you with very dry skin, but I can say that the enriching rosehip seed oil allows skin retain hydration for hours. This is the perfect texture for me, light but not overly runny or heavy.  As for the radiant claim goes, I didn’t notice a drastic change, but I am happy with the scent and the texture 🙂

A 250ml bottle of L’Occitane Rose Aurore Body Milk retails for IDR 375,000, and a 75ml travel-sized bottle is also available at IDR 135,000.  I personally wouldn’t splurge this much for a body lotion because, as some of you probably know, I prefer to spend that amount of money for makeup. But I definitely see why some people spend that much on this body milk!  Having supple-soft skin from the nourishing properties of a body lotion combined with the fresh lovely scent of a fragrance is very desirable.
