Lipstick Monday: A Dupe Option from L’Oreal Paris Infinite Fuchsia
I think I’m passed my red and orange lipstick obsession. Now I’m in fuchsia with a little bit of plum obsession and that’s why I’m loving the L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Caresse Aqua Lip Lacquer in Infinite Fuchsia. That’s quite a long name, I know. This colour is fuchsia but instead of the usual blue-tone fuchsia, it has a bit of warm plum in it and as you layer up, it has a nice vampy feel to it.
Love the colour but don’t exactly love the consistency. Why? Because it seems that it looks better on my bottom part of the lips and looks quite different on the top part. It stains on both sides but somehow it stains more fuchsia-ish at the bottom part, which never happened before with any other lipsticks I own.
Dupe alert girl. This is definitely a dupe version of YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stain. Coming from the same “parents” it is no surprise that they ended up being similar. A liquid lipstick which stains with the same heart-shaped applicator, though not exactly the same.
The only difference that makes you want to pay more for the YSL is despite of having the same heart-shaped applicator, the YSL one is able to reach to the farthest end of the inner corner of my lips and it stains and stays on better. The L’Oreal sometimes creates an uneven colour application throughout the lips.
