Yay or Nay: Going for Restylane Filler Procedure

seo-img-article

When I was offered a chance to try Restylane filler, I was quite hesitant as most of you here probably are. The first thing that came to mind was that albeit I’m 31, but when it comes to cosmetic procedure that will involve needles, I think I’m still quite young enough and don’t need one yet. But that didn’t stop me from researching more about Restylane and its benefits. Good thing is that the girls at Restylane Indonesia were really helpful in providing me with information so that I can weigh in the pros and cons of doing Restylane.

So here’s the basic on Restylane.

What is it?

Restylane is a type of dermal filler, which is a material made of synthetic or natural substances used for injection into the skin dermis and usually used for soft tissues augmentation for aesthetic reasons. To name a few, dermal fillers injection can help with correcting asymmetric facial feature, correct skin conditions caused by ageing such as fine lines, folds and wrinkles. Dermal fillers include collagen, hyaluronic acid (HA), fat and other substances and the most popular one is HA because not only that it’s a natural ingredient that is available in all living organism but it’s also proven to be a good substance for your skin. Remember all the hype about HA within your skincare and how good it is? Imagine having it inside your dermis.

Restylane itself is made out of crystal gel that contains a stable HA that is produced effectively using NASHA (Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid) technology and could deliver results such as lessening fine lines, giving back your skin’s volume, correct skin’s contour as well as rejuvenating skin’s condition. The two main things that it could do is filler and skin rejuvenation.

Restylane injection though could last quite a while but it’s not permanent. You could immediately see the result of your procedure right way and it would last between 6 – 12 months and with follow up procedure between 4-9 months, the results could last for up to 36 months.

NASHA has been proven to have low allergy risk and with time, it would degrade within your body.

Why does one would want to undergo a Restylane dermal filler injection?

Now, what sometimes scare people away from using dermal fillers is the living proof of how people who use it extensively to correct every inch of their face to the point that they become so statuesque to the point of no return. When it’s done subtly, you could almost not see the difference and it has its merits.

Did I tell you that one blog that I follow is the Beaut.ie? Since I’ve been an avid reader of their blog and whatever they suggested always works for me, so I was quite taken aback that Emma of Beaut.ie has actually tried the Restylane injection to correct the asymmetric shape of her cupid’s bow and the result was really good. So when you’re talking about facial augmentation, it doesn’t necessarily mean a scary one. And then it got me thinking about my under eye bags and how they look really bad lately and there must be something that I could do with it. Well that’s just one example that I could give you.

But think about skin rejuvenation and also correcting your skin’s volume and how a minor change could do to your face. That’s why.

Also, sometimes even when people have decided that they want to undergo a facial augmentation procedure, but they want something that is not permanent – that’s where Restylane cames in.

For instance, in my case, I have a serious problem of eye bag and black undereye because of the eye bag – vicious circle! – but I don’t think I need a surgery procedure yet. Thus, the reason why I was considering a Restylane dermal filler injection.

Where and how?

Unlike any beauty product that you could easily buy over the counter, because the nature of the product and also the procedure, you need to go to a licensed dermatologist to do the procedure. Shop around for trusted and recommended dermatologist, because when it comes to filler injection, it’s a matter of aesthetic and not precision-like surgery. Take your time to ask your friends, family or go online to find reviews on the dermatologist that you’re interested with and talk with them about what you want. It needs a certain trust and guts to choose one.

So now that you get all the scoop of the Restylane dermal filler, what do you think of it? Is it a yay, nay or perhaps maybe? Let me know what you think!

Next article, I will share with you my experience undergoing the procedure.
