IIFF 2013; Fairy Flowy Festive Takes Center Stage
If there’s one way to summarize the driving force behing muslim fashion today, it must be the motivation to prepare Ramadhan and Lebaran collections! The most favored and irresistible theme has ultra feminine everything. So it’s no wonder we saw a lot of feminine on the IIFF 2013 catwalk with plenty of elements and character to go round. Just like I’ve described in the title, its all about flowy festive!
Getting closer to the holy month and back to fitrah, I think these elements are expected. Soft, light, pastelare nowhere near to bold colors suit tastes that are all about tranquility. Clasically feminine lines enhance the true beauty of women through soft curvature of skirts and maxi dress. I’ve started to think that maybe we all have this kind of personality inside!
How did the designers interpret this into their collection? Let’s roll.
Mocca
Inspired by all things sweet and dreamy in bridal collections, this show offered overflowing layered dresses in soft peach, pink and purple. Mocca is owned and designed by Irma Nurul Hakim, and has been known for this style of chiffon-based dresses with romantic character. One of Mocca’s iconic product is the chiffon blazer.
