Very Groovy, Baby: Diane von Furstenberg Revisits Mod

The wrap dress: it has become a staple in every woman’s wardrobe, and we have none other than the divine Diane von Furstenberg to thank for it. I’m especially thankful for it, because no single garment does favours on a pear-shaped figure like mine more than the humble wrap dress. Its V-neck draws attention to a slimmer upper torso and it cinches perfectly at the slimmest part of the body. Its versatility is also a plus: it’s so easy to dress up or down, perfect for either work or play. The  wrap dress is truly the Swiss army knife of women’s fashion.

The Belgian-born brunette has been a busy bee as well, having recently sent down some Fall/Winter ’13 outfits just to tantalise fans in time for the season. The obligatory wrap dresses were obviously present, and they came in prints and solids to suit every palate and need. I’m also so glad to see coloured pant suits come back into play! (If you can’t already tell, I’m pretty much a fan of any outfit that will get me closer to looking like Tom Jones or Prince)
