Get the Glow with L'Oreal Paris L'Or Sunset Collection

seo-img-article

By now, you will already have known that L’Oreal Paris is sending the elegant Maudy Koesnaedi to represent Indonesia at the L’Oreal Paris Women of Worth Program, with its awards ceremony taking place at the 66th Cannes Film Festival. The French cosmetics giant has been the official makeup artist of the storied film festival for the past sixteen years, and it celebrates this year’s participation by launching the L’Or Sunset 2013 Collection. This name, which translates to golden sunset, aims to mark that magical moment in everyone’s day when the rigors of daytime come to a close and evolve into the glamour associated with nighttime. We got our hands on an exclusive kit, and we were already hooked from the get-go.

The product packaging is simple but eye-catching, and the collection is comprised of everything you need to look glamorous on the red carpet: nail polish, mascara, eyeshadow, and lipstick. The colours of this collection were specially curated to reflect the golden hour and glow that comes at sundown.

Plenty of the products come from L’Oreal Paris lines that are already familiar to many of us: for instance, the mascara comes from its successful Curl Impact Collagene, a successful product that promises volume and all day-lasting curl for your lashes. The formula for this mascara is waterproof and infused with collagen to keep lashes from wilting throughout the day, helping them maintain their curly hold for as long as you need to be in action. The brush is also curved into a unique spiral for perfect reach, making sure every single lash on your eyelid is camera-ready.

The eyeshadow palette in our kit came from the Color Riche line of makeup, which is known for offering eyeshadow quads in three distinct lines. We received the special edition Infiniment Bronze quad from the Smoky Collection, which is best used for the classic smoky eye look. Four glittery, high-intensity pigments make up this slim, travel-friendly palette, which also includes an applicator. My favourite feature about this particular palette is how there are instructions on the back for smoky eye makeup application, which is extremely useful for someone as illiterate with makeup as I am!

The lipstick too comes from the popular Color Riche line, an intense lip colour that is also rich with moisturizers to protect your smackers from drying up. The shade in our kit was a glossy sheer hue called Crimson Carpet, a lovely golden pearlescent-laden coral that will look great for everyday daytime wear and increase with intensity upon layered application. This particular shade is great because it is so saturated with pearlescent that will give off a marbled effect, but the best part is the moisturising! Not only does it deliver on colour, but Color Riche lipsticks will not dry out your lips.

Finally, our special edition kit came with a small bottle of nail varnish in #402, or Rouge Cancan. I was excited to try out this shade of nail polish because I am an absolute unabashed fan of red nails. The color is rich and thick, requiring only two applications, and it came with a broad, easy to control brush that made application a breeze.

I checked out the Adi Adrian tutorial on getting the Indonesian Sunset look and our dear Account Executive, Mazaya, had leaned over my shoulder to see what the fuss was all about. She decided she wanted in on the fun too and proceeded to give herself  mini-makeover right there on her desk; and while she loved the look Adi Adrian dished out on the tutorial, she decided to save it for the evening and gave herself a look that was a little more subdued for daytime use. All it took was ten minutes, and she was a woman changed!

She ended up loving the mascara–look at the length and curl on those lashes! And see the gorgeous glossy sheen on her smackers? That’s just the Color Riche lipstick in action, no lipgloss necessary! I love it when a beauty product works double duty.

So the next time you hear from Maudy Koesnaedi, it will be from Cannes, France! And if she looks particularly gorgeous, just remember that you can have that red carpet glow on you too with the L’Oreal Paris L’Or Sunset collection. The collection is available in three distinct looks: Indonesian Sunset, Eclipse Sunset, and Oriental Sunset, and you can get details on how to get these looks with Adi Adrian PLUS a shot at winning one of these collections at L’Oreal Paris Indonesia’s Facebook page. Très fabuleux!
