14. Inside Anggie’s Makeup Pouch

Written by Anggita, Female Daily’s Digital Account Executive.

I carry quite a few items in my makeup pouch because I rarely have the time to complete my makeup routine at home. The only steps I can do at home are putting on my skincare and applying foundation; most of the time, makeup will be taken care of once I get in the car or to the office :p

Pink Pouch – This is a standard-issue pouch that you can easily find in accessory shops such as Strawberry. When it gets dirty, all I have to do is chuck it in the washing machine and it’ll be good as new. I have been using this for more than 4 years now, so maybe it’s time to get a new one.

MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation – I originally wanted MAC Careblend, but alas, the store didn’t carry my shade so I settled for this. I bought this when I seldom used foundation, but this is now what I use to set it. I know, I know: it’s practically a foundation, but what can a girl do? I have no other powder. Yet.

NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder – The decision to purchase this particular item didn’t come easily. I spent quite some time reading up reviews about eyebrow powder, and this one got pretty great reviews. I had one other brand as a contender but it was slightly more expensive, so this one’s the winner! It is a taupe-grey shade with no hint of brown at all, as I found that the lighter shade didn’t quite show up on my brows. Love it!

Etude House Peach Cheek Blusher – This is the blush currently on heavy rotation. This very light pink shade is perfect for everyday use, but I have to admit that I bought this because of the unique stamp packaging. Cute!

e.l.f Lipstick, Wet ‘N Wild Megalast Lipcolour, Black Radiance Lipstick, Kanebo Media Lisptick – I have no idea why I have four lipsticks in my pouch. I like options, I guess.

  • e.l.f Lipstick in Captivating. This is a cute light orange shade.
  • Kanebo Media in OR-10. This brick-orange lipstick is easy to use.
  • Black Radiance in 5033. I rarely use vampy lipsticks, but it’s always fun to have one.
  • Wet ‘N Wild in Cora-line. This is my Monday-morning-lipstick because it’s bright and fun enough to perk me up better than coffee.

Burt’s Bees Rejuvenating Lip Balm with Acai Berry

L’Oreal Paris Curl Impact Collagene Mascara – I’m not a mascara girl so basically any mascara will do. But this one is nice, not clumpy and requires no elbow grease to remove it.

NYX Slide On Pencil: Jet Black and Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil: Bourbon – Most of the time I use the black eyeliner (hence the truncated lengh). The formula of this NYX pencil is similar to Urban Decay Zero’s, in my opinion. When I feel like going for a more natural eye look, Urban Decay Bourbon is my go-to choice.

Various Brushes – I always keep these brushes ready in my pouch. I have one eyeshadow palette at home and one at the office but I only have one set of eye brushes, so I figure it’s best to keep the brushes with me :p

  • e.l.f Studio Blush Brush
  • e.l.f Eyeshadow Brush
  • Make Up Show Buffing brush
  • Make Up Shop blending brush
  • The Body Shop lip brush
