May & June Flower Serenades for the Spring Look

Home-grown label May & June invited us to view their extensive summer collection, presented through a narrative aptly titled The Flower Serenade. The sister brand of Batik Alleira hosted what turned out to be a really fun to show to watch because their collection was split into four segments that corresponded to flowers that bloom in the summertime, with each sequence represented by a specific colour and print. Without further ado, the May & June summer collection!

Peony Paradise. The set with the most fun and flounce to it! Possibly my favourite looks among of the four-piece sub-collections, this set is all about easygoing silk cotton materials in fuschia. That A-line dress with cap sleeves and nip in the waist looks like it could do me well on my next vacation.

Oriental Bloom. The most interesting sub-collection as far as textures go, but it keeps silhouettes simple while adding interesting details to shift dresses such as peplums and one-houlder sleeves.

Orchid. Plenty of soft, flowy white prints and sky-blue solids in a sub-collection inspired by Middle Eastern looks. The most mature and elegant of all the sets, but also the breeziest.

Kiss From The Sun. A very fun, bright collection with a hint of retro. I’d wear those floral-print shorts everywhere if I didn’t have thunder thighs T__T

And that’s it! Do you have a favourite set? Let us know in the comments!
