Vera Wang’s new boutique in Shanghai pulled an attitude that only fashion people can understand. The establishment will not have random shoppers slip into its wedding gown collection by actually charging people 3,000 yuan (about $500) just to try on wedding dresses. Not only that, brides-to-be can only try dresses for not more than one and a half hour. Thinking to get your picture taken while trying on the gowns? Your camera phone will not be useful, as taking pictures is strictly prohibited. If you finally decide to buy a dress, you’ll get a 3,000 yuan discount. However, if you leave the store empty-handed, you’ll have to kiss your 3,000 yuan goodbye.
