Lipstick Monday: Get Peachy with Burberry Golden Peach!
Continuing my love for Burberry Beauty, here’s another lip color from the Lip Cover Soft Satin Lipstick line. This time, it’s in No.29 Golden Peach.
This is also a part of the new shades that was introduced in S/S 2012 collection. There was another similar shade, but in lighter tone called Devon Sunset. But it turned out to be a little too pale for my liking. So I set out with this one.
Let us first reminisce the gloriously über chic packaging. The lipstick is encased in shiny gunmetal casing with Burberry’s signature check print etched on it. Instead of the generic ‘click’ type closure, this uses a secure magnet that just simply snaps together when you put the cap on. The bullet also has that beautiful check print detailing. The lipstick has a rose scent to it.
Golden Peach is a lovely summery shade of peach. It has the perfect balance of orange and red tones, making it suitable on a lot of different skin tones. It has a brightness to it that is still calm, not neon-like. The anti-aging ceramides makes the lips look fuller and plump. It glides on effortlessly on the lips, leaving a sheen satin finish. This particular shade has a transparent gel-like quality to it, but it’s buildable to a proper intensity.
One thing for sure, I love Burberry Lip Cover for the hydrating formula. It feels very comfortable on my dry sensitive lips. The lightweight formula with high pigmentation makes a winning combination. Golden Peach doesn’t last as long as Primrose Hill Pink, but it leaves a natural-looking stain afterwards.
I wear Golden Peach at least once a week. It offers a great versatility to a lot of my outfits. It goes great with fuchsia, periwinkle blue, and seafoam green clothes. As I said, it has a calming brightness; it can tone down brighter tops and pop up softer attires
