We always welcome high-end designer collaboration with everyday retailer! One of the first (if not the first) designer collaborations that create a buzz this year is Prabal Gurung for Target collection, set to launch on February 10, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
ELLE fashion magazine has the exclusive preview of the clothing pieces and accessories that are going to be available at Target in the United States. The Nepali American designer is taking cues from the love-themed launch date, with some floral prints and feminine cuts. Although, I should say that I am happy to report that the floral motif is not cliché – the prints are more abstract, and not very literal. The pieces are wearable and affordable. This collection features a lot of dresses and bottoms, along with blouses and outerwear. We are also psyched to report that there will be some accessories and shoes as well!
Here we will showcase some of our picks from the sneak preview. For the full preview, head over to Elle. I am eyeing the ruffle dress in Sulfur Spring, long sleeve tee in Floral Crush print, and the pointy toe flats in Nolita prints, and (all of) the bangles!
The color palette is fresh, with a lot of lime hues, alongside colorful abstract floral prints
Bright-but-not-neon sea-inspired hues, together the edgier black in “Meet The Parents” print, as Prabal names it (bottom left)
The pointy flats also come in the high-heel version (sulfur-colored high heels! I don’t think I have one of those!). I’m in love with the overall accessories line as well.
Are you planning to get Prabal Gurung for Target collection? I know I will be ready to head over to Market Plaza to find out whether our sellers are planning to open a pre-order!
