I’m never much of an exotic leather bags kind of girl. I have a weak stomach to handle an all out big bag made out of exotic leather. But they seem to be in fashion at the moment. That is how I came across the brand Luxo, who creates bags made out of exotic leather with a little bit of ethnicity infused in it using traditional textile such as batik. But it’s not their bags collection that caught my eyes, it’s rather their clutches collection. This one I can handle, because there’s not too much of exotic leather going on and you can still get the luxurious feel of the leather.
The combination of fun and bright exotic leather against the pattern of batik creates a harmonious design. It’s inspired by the colourful world of your childhood stories that are both fun and dreamy. I especially love the way they dipped the exotic leather into sweet and bright colours. And they seem to know how to combine it with the right textile to make it a bit glamorous without being too busy.
My favourite is the Acacia and Alysse clutches that have the perfect colour combination.
