When Monday comes, I really need to pump myself up. From my outfit, hair, and of course makeup. I need all of them to look good on Monday, at least on my eyes. No offense to my job, I love my job very much, but you know that feeling when you just spent your weekend lazily for 48 hours – having a good rest, read books, watching DVDs, swimming, etc. And BAM! Hey, it’s Monday again!
This Monday, I decided to wear this lipstick from The Body Shop Colourglide #14. I’m in my fierce mode, obviously. The color is not my typical everyday lipstick, but again, since it’s Monday, why not?
I did find an issue when applying this lipstick. In my opinion, the best way to apply it is with a lip liner and a lip brush. When I directly applied the lipstick from the tube, it was quite difficult to make it neat, and when my upper and lower lip met, it ruined the shape that I created before. I’m not a fan of its formulation but again, this is the safest red that I dare to wear. So by using a lip liner to make the lipstick stay put and a lip brush to make putting the product on my lips a lot easier.
However, like I said before, I LOVE the color. The name is Pink Ginger, but I think instead of pink, it shows more of Persian red, not too dark to be labeled as those vampy colors, but this is definitely a red that’s suitable for me, since I don’t want to wear such a bold dark color for my day look, this one turned out to be a great option for a statement lip. It looks good on its own, and I can put a gloss on top of it to make it more shiny. It doesn’t have a matte finish which I love, because I really don’t need anything matte on my dry lips. The Body Shop Colourglide lipstick retails for IDR 139,000.
