We're Lusting Over Make Up For Ever Holodiam Powder

seo-img-article

I can’t believe  it’s already going towards the end of October!

In addition to panicking whether we have reached our yearly target at work, it’s also that quarter where you need to do your planning for the year ahead *sigh*. But another thing about this quarter of the year is that, it’s time where the holiday collection starts to pop out. A very exciting season I must say 🙂

NARS was first to launch with the Andy Warhol collection, which so far, has received good review. While that collection is not available in Indonesia, the next one that I’m very much lusting over, will be available by November.

It’s the Make Up For Ever Holodiam Collection for Holiday 2012. The Holodiam Collection embodies a very bright, glamorous and glittering holiday look. Think about the party that you want to attend during this holiday season.

The belle of the ball from this collection is the Holodiam Eyeshadow Powder where it’s able to create a 3D holographic effect. With each angle, Holodiam Powder gives a different reflection of colors and tones as light hits the eye area. The color is intense, and the ability to give three different shimmering colors produced by the optical effect really enlivens your eye makeup look.

There are going to be four shades available, each shade is a combination of three different colour tones:

  1. Copper: Pink, orang and yellow highlights.
  2. Plum: Turquoise, violet and pink highlights.
  3. White: Gold, green and blue highlights.
  4. Brown Gold: Yellow, green and blue highlights.

If you’re confused on how to use this powder, we also have a step by step tutorial on one of the key looks for the Holodiam Collection.

Glamorous Holodiam Look: Step by Step

STEP 1: Create a smokey eyes look using a combination of black and plum. Products: Black Kohl pencil (upper lash line and lower water line), black eye shadow #004 (on top of the kohl pencil), white shimmer #007 (highlight under the brow bone), wine red #49 (blend in on crease). Tools: Pencil brush #14s to blend kohl pencil and eyeshadow brush #5s for eyeshadow.

STEP 2: Layer your eyeshadow with Holodiam Powders to create the 3D effect. Products: Holodiam Powder #302 or plum (on top of black and pink eyeshadow) and #303 or white (inner corner of the eyelid). Tools: Use sponge applicator and apply in dabbing motion.

STEP 3: Highlight your face Products: Holodiam Powder #303 or white, this can be used as highlighter as well for the temples and cheekbones. Mist & Fix Spray to set up your makeup. Tools: Eyeshadow brush #10s, to allow more precision in application.

STEP 4: Apply Mascara and False Lashes Products: To make your lashes more prominent use lengthening mascara for upper and lower lashes. Use gold false eyelashes, available from Holodiam Collection, if you want to look more glammed up. Kohl Pencil tightlined on the waterline to intensify your eyes. Tools: False eyelashes glue.

Final eyemakeup look

Now that you’ve seen the complete look, you know why I’m really interested in this product, right?

Anyway, this is not the end of our Holiday products wishlist, there is still a few more coming up, complete with tutorial. Stay tune!
