I think when it comes to Korean beauty brands, I am quite behind. There are a few brands that I was a bit familiar with, then there came a rush and all of a sudden, every week Deszell came to me chattering about some Korean brand I have never heard of or seen anywhere. How can I ever keep up!

Anyway, one of the Korean beauty brands I am most familiar with was Laneige. As far as I know, Laneige has been one of the most established brands from the land of the kimchi. Under Amore Pacific, the company that also brings us Sulwashoo, Innisfree, Amore Pacific as well as some fragrance brands that are dear to us like Lolita Lempicka and my absolute obsession..Annick Goutal!

Laneige, which means “snow” in French, has a mission in helping women to achieve the radiant and dewy skin they always long for by using advanced water technology. There are 7000 kinds of water in this world and Laneige has been studying these waters to look for the best one to be put into their skincare products. One of the technologies that resulted from this research is their Water Pump System, which helps to keeping internal and external skin moisture, as well as enhancing skin cells with the moisture, making it easier to achieve that young and healthy skin.

Laneige left our country some time ago but is now relaunching in Indonesia armed with some of their iconic products. I got to try two of their skincare products and have been using them for the past 2 months and dare I say it? I think I’m finally ready to join the Korean beauty bandwagon!
