Those were the two places I seem to be visiting quite frequently throughout Mercedes-Benz Miami Fashion Week Swim 2013 😀

Thanks to Make Up For Ever, I got backstage passes to some of the hottest designers in the fashion week so usually, around 4 PM, I would start heading downstairs to the pool area to meet the MUFE team and the other journalists, then we would proceed to the backstage area to take photos or chat with the makeup artists.

Then after that, we usually had around 2 hours of waiting time before the show started. If there was no dinner scheduled that day, Dinda, Make Up For Ever Indonesia PR Manager, and I usually spent time hanging out near the open bar 😀 It was a good place to observe the crowd and talk to people, actually. The Fashion Week Swim is a laid back event so people were quite friendly and approachable. Of course, it didn’t hurt that the bar always served the most delicious cocktails, as well as endless supplies of wines and Moët & Chandon champagne, which happens to be a sponsor of the event.

I took this picture before entering one of the backstage tents, which were located on the small street right beside The Raleigh hotel. By now I’m sure you already got bored with the shoes and bag I was wearing, which practically never changed throughout the whole fashion week. Well, I only allowed myself to bring 3 shoes during this trip and two of them were flats 😀 But among many Isis dresses I wore for this occasion, this one has got to be my favorite. It falls beautifully on me, very comfortable to wear and I love the ombre grey color which turned this dress from an ordinary maxi dress to something special.
