What's Inside My Magic Box of Beauty?

seo-img-article

After two years of working at Fashionese Daily, the moment of having back-to-back business trips has arrived. I’m not exactly the type of person who enjoy to be on the road for long period of time, because I never pack light 😀

The worst part is, of course, packing my beauty items! Missing one thing and the rest of the travel would be a disaster. Let’s not talk about beauty products, because I’ve talked about those far too often. What about the tools that I need to carry with me? With Lebaran coming up, and that means mudik for most you and holiday for some, I bet this post will come in handy.

Here they are, I always keep them inside my travel pouch because I really can’t live without them. And I never take anything out, since I’m afraid I may forget to put them back.

  1. Tweezer and nail clipper. I never have time to groom my eyebrow before the day of departure, because I’m always busy packing up on the very last minute and finishing tasks at work. So, not wanting to take picture with bad looking eyebrows, I always make sure Tweezer is available whenever I travel. Nail clipper is also useful, because there are numerous incidents where I lift up my bags and chip my nail, with no nail clipper to the rescue. Don’t you just hate one of those moments? Oh, and it’s also useful to cut loose threads hanging on your clothes.
  2. Stippling brush. My favourite is this short-handle MAC 187. It can replace any number of brushes, from foundation, blush, highlighter to powder brush. I always carry a separate brush roll, but just in case I miss out on anything, this one is always inside my magic box of beauty.
  3. Nexcare Acne Cover. Who has the time to mend acne when travelling? But going to somewhere new often calls for a skin emergency. Often, skin sensitivity raises due to the change of weather or fatigue; sometimes, it leads to disastrous acne! Why do I say it’s disastrous? Because acne doesn’t just ruin my look, but it also ruin my mood. I can spend the day obsessing about the acne rather on just enjoying the place I’m visiting. This Nexcare Acne Cover works wonders. I just need to leave it overnight, take it to sleep and the next morning, the nasty acne dries out. And it’s not a medication, so you don’t need to be afraid for a bad reaction. I think this product needs another post for the complete review. So just wait 🙂
  4. Facial wipes. Just in case I happen to forget bringing my facial cleanser, I always have this as plan B.
  5. Nexcare Paper Tape. This one is also an absolute must. I can use it on my eyes to give a guideline when I apply my smokey eyes look in a hurry where I don’t have the time to blend in the edges. With this, I can make sure that my eyeshadow is neatly shaped and doesn’t go overboard. I also use it to seal in the sample sachet, which I usually bring during travelling, because I don’t want to carry a full size bottle of my skincare or hair care.
