Yes, that’s how long it took for us to get from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to Miami International Airport. The journey was Jakarta – Dubai (8 hours) Dubai – New York (13 hours) and New York – Miami (3 hours). And unfortunately, the flight from Jakarta to Dubai was about 1 hour delayed. Then when we did fly, the air pressure when we were over India was quite bad that the ride was so bumpy. We got to Dubai around 8 am local time and immediately I went to Caffe Nero to get a cup of cappuccino because I was only able to sleep for 3 hours during the flight. Thankfully though, the flight from Dubai to New York was super smooth and I could get more sleep.
However, when we got to New York, the weather was so bad they had to delay all flights too. The wait at JFK for the storm to clear up was frustrating to say the least. At that point, we had been on the road for 30 hours and could not wait to get to our destination. I was so tired, sleepy and cranky and imagining that I still had to fly for another 3 hours made me want to cry (excuse my lebayness, but this girl isn’t really a fan of flying, you know)
