I was lucky enough that my business trip to Singapore coincided with the start of Great Singapore Sale (GSS). It was the first couple of weeks of the sale season and it was still very quiet. Every time I have a chance to visit Singapore, I try to be very strict with myself to limit my shopping to the brands that I can’t find in Indonesia; I tend to especially focus on the Singaporean labels.
I find that the sale from the high street labels are more or less the same with Jakarta, so, why bother piling all those stuff on my luggage if I can have them for pretty much the same reduction with Jakarta. Case in point, the Mango sale, which actually started couple of days earlier in Jakarta 🙂 But of course, if you know for sure that the items that you want isn’t going to be available in Jakarta store, than it may worth the trouble to get it there.
